HALIFAX, NS and CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – February 22, 2011 – Premier Canadian University adopts ScreenScape powered digital signage to communicate with students. Dalhousie Faculty of Management have adopted ScreenScape to tap into the power of place-based media on campus. They have rolled out screen displays powered by ScreenScape to engage and inform students.

“Having a video wall in the atrium of our Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building has been a goal of Dalhousie’s Faculty of Management since the building opened five years ago. Now, with the help of BMO Financial Group we are preparing to launch this new communication tool for the 2,000 students, staff and faculty of our four management schools. Little thought had been given to how we would manage the content to be projected on our giant screen. Finding ScreenScape gave us a solution we could deploy in a very short timeline. Not only will it be easy to launch, it will provide a simple-to-use content management system that will allow us to provide a dynamic display that will become a focal point in the daily life of our Faculty,” said Colin Craig, Manager, Marketing and Communications, Faculty of Management.

The 75-square-foot video wall, the largest on campus, is also one of the largest ScreenScape-powered screens in the world. “It certainly captivates the students, which was the point of the project. We are excited about plugging into ScreenScape’s social media widgets such as Twitter and Foursquare to keep the content relevant and engage participation from students.” continued Craig.

“ScreenScape is helping Dalhousie University to create location-specific media experiences on campus that add value to campus life.” added Kevin Dwyer, President and CEO of ScreenScape. “By working with members of the ScreenScape Community, Dalhousie can take advantage of our extended network to push the Unversity’s message out into their community or, if they like, by allowing their partners to contribute to screens on campus.”
